Featuring a pale green, 1.3 infrared radiation filter lens, Myst Y10LIR safety glasses provide protection from exposure to indirect welding flashes and low level infrared radiation for utility work, work in and around welding environments, use under welding helmets where primary eye protection is required, and furnace operations. The Myst Y10LIR spectacles possess a high 80% Visible Light Transmittance (VLT) ratio and are well suited for indoor work applications while filtering out 99.9% of harmful UV rays present. Although the IR protection provided by the Y10LIR lens is equivalent to a Shade 1.3 welding lens, the Y10LIR glasses' low IR lenses do not meet the Shade requirements of Table I of ANSI Z87.1 2010 and should not be used for any type of direct welding application. Weighing only 1 oz., the Gemstone Myst Y10LIR glasses are light in weight and low in cost while supplying excellent all-around impact protection in a sleek and compact style. The wraparound frame is comfortable, durable and provides a snug fit. In addition, each pair of Myst Y10LIR has a one piece, hard coated, polycarbonate lens with a molded in nose bridge and deep non-adjustable temples that provide good side protection.
